The Catholic Women’s League of Canada joins with Canadians, the peoples of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth in profound grief and sorrow at the death of Her Majesty the Queen.
Her Majesty was an inspiring example of dedication to duty, gracious leadership and steadfastness in her duties as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and monarch, all with dignity, integrity and humour.
Her love and admiration for Canada were most certainly reciprocated from coast to coast. Our thoughts and prayers are with the members of the Royal Family during this difficult time of mourning. We give thanks to God for Her Majesty and her life of service. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she be welcomed by the God she loved and hear the words, “well done, good and faithful servant.”
