Thursday, August 18th Summerland Outings

Aug 29, 2022 | Spotlight

On Thursday, August 18th, 75 members and guests took part in the Summerland Steam Train Tour. They were welcomed aboard the historic Kettle Valley Steam Railway established in 1916. Guests experienced the 110 year-old restored steam locomotive and open sided rail cars. These cars provided the perfect opportunity to enjoy the quilted patchwork of lush orchards, vineyards, fields of green, Trout Creek, and a trestle bridge. A second stop was made at Summerland Sweets which provided an opportunity to purchase local-made pottery, jams, jellies and kitchen items.
