Annick O’Shaunessy, a member of St.Veronica Parish Council (Dorval) recruited individuals from different groups to assist in making masks for Lakeshore General Hospital. Annick went above and beyond by providing templates for cutting out the pieces to be sewn, providing a tutorial for making the masks and recruiting her husband to pick up and deliver them. The original request was for 750 masks; however, in coordination with other groups, a total of 20,000 masks were made. League members Anne Comeau, Catherine Cherry and Donna Rochford Hildebrand among other individuals joined Annick. It’s amazing what willing hands can accomplish.
