The 96th annual national convention held in Halifax was enjoyed by sisters from opposite ends of the country. Shirley Bruckschwaiger, pictured on the left, from Our Lady of Assumption Parish Council (Hay River, Northwest Territories) and her sister Wanda Bruckschwaiger of St. Theresa’s Parish Council (Sydney, Nova Scotia) attended their first annual national convention together. Sisterhood was embraced as sisters in the League from across the miles.
