St. Louis, Waterloo
St. Louis Parish Council (Waterloo) members participated in the centenary tree planting project on May 3rd. The tree (a white magnolia) has also been referred to by some as the “Centenary” or “Star of the Sea.” It is small, like the League was 100 years ago, but promises to grow up to 20 feet high. A plaque will be mounted onto a rock to explain the tree’s significance with a dedication ceremony held at a later date.
