On August 11th, members of St. Ann’s Parish Council (Abbotsford, BC) were able to arrange a meeting with Mike Sikora, the city’s housing, homelessness, and community development specialist. They were able to learn about issues the homeless are facing regarding the difficulty of finding transitional housing. Members are currently supporting women and children living in women’s drop-in centres, and youth living in a local emergency housing.
