In response to a request for a Christmas meal from the Prison Ministry, members of St. Ann’s Parish Council (Abbotsford, BC) prepared a delicious meal of turkey with trimmings and Christmas cookies on December 17th in the Parish kitchen. A total of 112 containers were filled and delivered to Matsqui Institution and enjoyed by 100 male inmates and 12 Chaplains and prison guards. A festive lunch was followed by singing Christmas carols, reading of passages from the bible and fellowship at the institution’s chapel.
