St. Ambrose Parish Council (Yarmouth, NS) hosted a baby shower on March 6th for the Tri-County Pregnancy Care Centre. The care centre provides a safe place to explore options for those who are facing an unplanned pregnancy. They have accurate information to help those in crisis make an informed decision about the outcome of their pregnancy. Blue and pink balloons, a 40-year-old wooden cradle and a “welcome babies” cake made for a friendly atmosphere. With 38 members present, three parishioners and two employees of the Centre, we received many blankets, lots of outfits, pampers, toiletries, and stuffed toys – everything required to complete baby layettes. Gift cards and cash donations amounted to $230.00.
