Resolution 1954.03 Re Movies, Radio and Television
Whereas, the movies, radio and television exert a powerful influence upon the ideas and ideals of the individual, the family and society in general; and
Whereas, the ideas and ideals conveyed through these media ought to be of a wholesome character: be it
Resolved, that we, the Catholic Women’s League of Canada, in 34th Annual national convention assembled, encourage producers and distributors in the above mentioned industries, and authorities at every level of Government to discriminate carefully in the production and distribution of such media; and, be it further
Resolved, that members of the Catholic Women’s League of Canada be reminded of the serious responsibility which devolves upon them as Christians and as parents, to be vigilant in the choice of movies, radio and television programs for personal and family consumption .
