Congratulations to Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Vancouver and Honorary Life Member Barbara Dowding (2014-2016), who has been invited as one of five Canadians to attend the opening celebrations of the XVI Assembly of Synod of Bishops, to be held in Rome, Italy, from October 9-10, 2021. Barbara joins the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops’ President Most Rev. Richard Gagnon (Winnipeg), President-Elect Most Rev. Raymond Poisson (Bishop of Saint-Jérôme and Mont-Laurier) and Senior Advisor for Theology and Social Doctrine Dr. Patrick Fletcher, Ph.D., and Sister Chantal Desmarais of Sœur de la Charité de Sainte-Marie.
Members are encouraged to pray for the success of the Synod.
