Part I

The Kingston Diocesan Council of the Catholic Women’s League of Canada celebrated their 100th anniversary at their convention held on Saturday, April 30 and Sunday, May 1.  After two years of not being able to meet in person; being able to assemble at our 100th anniversary was a very large blessing.

There were uplifting spiritual programs, starting with opening Mass for the Intention of the repose of the soul of Carol Richer, Life Member who passed in 2021, then the crowning of the statue of Mary.  Reports were presented.  Our keynote speaker Robert Mundle, a Certified Spiritual Care Practitioner with the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care, and a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario spoke on loneliness, MAID and how our faith helps us.

Elections were held and our new executive will be Lyne Tuepah, President; Colleen Hill, Secretary; Elizabeth Knudson, President-Elect; Angela Town, chairperson;  Mary Lou Hills, Treasurer;  Nancy Richer, Past

President/Historian; and our new spiritual advisor, Father Stéphane Pouliot.
