Bringing Everyone Together: Resources, Muscle, and Excitement

Working with members of different ages is good for everyone. The older members bring the resources and experience. The middle-aged members bring the “muscle.” The youngest members bring excitement. Everyone has important gifts to share.
In 2019, 44% of members were between 65 and 74 years old. Only four per cent of members were under 44 years old. Women of all ages need to be encouraged by members to join the League. The generational activity working group has finished its work and created resources to support parish council activities that involve all ages.
The working group’s article and a resource of ideas are in the final editing stages at national office. The resource contains files so members can make things like badges, brochures and posters. Look for this resource on the national website soon. The group members hope this resource will make it easier and more fun to involve women of different ages in League events.
