Holy Trinity Parish Council’s (Spruce Grove) plan to plant 50 trees at the Willow Park Natural Area in Stony Plain became a wonderful community project in honour of the League’s 100th anniversary. Neighbourhood residents joined members by pitching in and helping dig holes while children helped plant and water the trees. Future plans include planting more trees and installing a park bench with a plaque to commemorate the League’s centennial.
