At the October meeting of Holy Trinity Parish Council (Trail, BC) there was a formal blessing of their parish garden. They installed a “Peace Pole”, which is a modern international symbol for worldwide peace and is found in many important sites around the globe. Their Peace Pole has a dove on top and the date of the blessing happened on the feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Nelson Diocese Bishop, Greg Bittman, was able to give a surprise visit and participated in the Blessing along with them!
