Christ is Risen! Alleluia!
How blessed are we to participate in the liturgies of the Easter Triduum:
† to experience Jesus’ love as he washed the feet of the disciples, offered to them His own body and blood in the first Eucharist;
† to experience the suffering, pain, humiliation and abandonment that Jesus bore out of love for us;
† to experience His new creation – the new fire, Paschal candle, and holy water – all in anticipation of Jesus, Light of the World.
Jesus had a mission, and as Christians we too have a mission – to reach out to others in love, generosity, and humility as His followers, commissioned to share the Good News, to change the world.
Christ is truly risen!
May the sacrifices that our Lord made for us renew our joy and hope in life, and may the blessings of the risen Lord inspire each of us to share the Good News of His Resurrection!
