Church of The Ascension, Parksville, B.C.
On February 16, Church of The Ascension Parish Council (Parksville, BC) hosted a baby shower with 115 women in attendance. Baby gifts and cash donations brought to the shower benefit the Crossroads Crisis Pregnancy Centre in Nanaimo and serve the centre’s needs for baby layettes from January through August. Crossroads not only provides clients with spiritual counselling, but help with baby needs, parenting skills and a place in which they receive unconditional love, support and acceptance. Our loving kitchen angels put together a delicious lunch, those who are creative and generous provided decorations and flowers and a team of greeters welcomed each person who came to our door and carefully displayed all the beautiful baby things. What a spirit of love and service, all done in His name.
