Chalice Canada: Love in the Kitchen: A Recipe for Holiness

Jun 15, 2022 | In the News, Media, News Releases

Dear friends,

Chalice Canada, a Catholic international development and aid charity, has organized an online event entitled: Love in the Kitchen: A Recipe for Holiness on June 18th and 19th. Given the tremendous work of the League, its membership demographic and the overlap between the audience that this event is likely to attract, Chalice asked the League to share a presenter who would engage the audience on a food and faith-related topic and make a valuable contribution to the spiritual development of all attendees.

National President and Chairperson of International Relations Fran Lucas asked National Second Vice-President and Chairperson of Spiritual Development Cathy Bouchard to present on the League’s behalf. Cathy took on the task of presenting an everyday person’s connection to insights into how one’s spirit connects to one’s stomach.

Chalice Canada invites “foodies” worldwide to pull out their chef’s hat and roll up their sleeves at Love in the Kitchen: A Recipe for Holiness, a free online cooking and theology conference featuring more than 20 Catholic speakers presenting on a wide spread of topics, including cooking, baking, body image, wine and mixology—and how they connect to theology. The pièce de resistance will be Saturday night—a free, live cooking class with renowned Catholic chef Fr. Leo Patalinghug of Plating Grace Ministries.
