Assumption Parish Council, Hay River

Jul 30, 2020 | Spotlight

Assumption Parish Council in Hay River, Northwest Territories planted mountain ash, a type of tree that thrives in Canada’s north. The rock placed in front of the tree is a quartz crystal found at the old Pine Point Mine and weighs approximately 70 pounds. A local company generously donated the plaque.
