A glimpse into the history and culture of Indigenous Peoples on the prairies: As part of the 104th Annual National Convention, members were able to enjoy a visit to Wanuskewin Heritage Park, a sacred spot north of the city of Saskatoon where Indigenous peoples have gathered for thousands of years.

Participants arrived Sunday morning on August 11th, gathered for brunch and witnessed a hoop dancing demonstration by Lawrence Roy, who was accompanied by drummer and singer Elmer Tootoosis. Mr. Roy then taught some hoop dancing moves to a few eager League members. Afterward convention delegates toured the site, viewed displays, and visited the gift shop.
