On August 10th, Fiesta Filipino at St. Patrick’s Parish was a night of joyful celebration for members at the 104th Annual National Convention in Saskatoon, showcasing Filipino heritage and culture. Fiesta in the Philippines is usually a religious celebration or festival.

There was plenty of traditional Filipino food served like pansit, beef morcon, pork hamonado, chopsuey and the lechon. They also ate cassave cake and buko salad for dessert. St. Cecilia Choir performed popular Filipino music with enchanting vocals, and Filipino Heritage School performed lively folk dances depicting our relationship with the earth, unity and love.
