Secretary Communique #3

Greetings

Women of Peace and Hope, I wish you and your families a very healthy and prosperous 2010. This is probably my last communiqué to you as national secretary-treasurer and I want to take this opportunity to say thank you for your prayers and support during my two terms. I send a very special thank you to: Executive Director Kim Scammell, to the wonderful staff at national office as well as to the members of the administrative committee, all continue to work together as good stewards on members' behalf. It has been my honour and privilege to be part of that team.

Handbook for Secretaries
To assist in the important role of secretary, the Handbook for Secretaries is available for free download from national office. A copy can be downloaded from the Web site, or can be purchased in print from national office. The handbook is item #213 and is available for $2.00. Council secretaries will find it to be a great resource.

Elections Register
This is a reminder that the elections register is updated by the recording secretary and given to the chairperson of the nominations and elections committee in October. This gives the committee ample time to contact those who are eligible for election in the following year. There is still time to update this information. If you have any questions, refer to the Handbook for Secretaries, pages 12 and 13.
